Excellent opportunity for an experienced Forklift Engineer to join a well-established company based in Chorley
Company
Based near Chorley, we offer a complete solution for hire, lease, service, sales and transport of fork lift trucks and materials handling equipment throughout Lancashire and the North West.

You will join a valued team who provide mechanical, technical and diagnostic support for a wide range of customers. Covering complex repairs to routine planned maintenance.

Candidate Requirements
This role requires you to have a sound understanding of Hydraulics and engines. Basic understanding of 12v – 48v electric systems would be advantageous however all candidates will be considered as training can be provided.

As the main dealer for both Doosan Industrial Vehicles and Terberg Truck Mounted Forklifts. The company provides their engineers with ongoing manufacturing training and support whilst offering the variety to work on mixed fleets, within the North West.

This position is suited to an individual with previous parts sales/parts advisor experience within an easy commutable distance who is looking to break into the materials handling industry or who already has previous experience from a different industry carrying out similar tasks.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain inventory and full stock control.
  • Covering complete parts administrative tasks
  • Handling retail part sales enquiries
  • Actively engage with our service team and technicians.

Position / Requirements:

  • Parts experience is required, but the ability to learn quickly is desirable.
  • Proactive and organised work ethic
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Within easy commutable distance to us.
  • Polite and well presented
  • Proficient in using computer equipment and stock control software
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Job Type & Hours:

As a parts sales representative/parts advisor, you will be responsible for liaising with work colleagues, customers, and suppliers, as well as offering an element of sales support. This role will also support a number of engineers, so good communication skills are a must. You must be willing to get involved in the associated tasks relating to parts and service, including packing and unpacking stock and carrying out stock takes, as well as keeping those areas clean and tidy.
