As you can see, once the forklift is centered and facing the back of the trailer, the forks are simply moved to the correct position where they connect to the trailers fork support brackets. With the sheer strength of the supporting forks, the driver can instruct the truck to lift itself up using the machine’s mast. The wheels should reach the wheel stops on the trailer and should be placed into a position where it is fitted securely. For extra support, two transport chains are attached to the anchor points on either side of the truck. These chains are fastened to the trailer and locked in place; they will hold the weight of the forklift. Terberg trucks will fit into the majority of trailer kits already in the market place giving you more options when replacing existing trucks.
